This workshop releases tension through gentle movement and focused breath. Intentional relaxation is the antidote to stress and the fight-or-flight hormones that can make us chronically ill. The scientifically-proven effects of relaxation include reduction in muscle tension, improved circulation, reduced stress, lower blood pressure, and reduced fluid retention.
Whether you are a seasoned yogi or are recovering from an injury or have decided to attend to your self-care, this class will be highly restorative and supportive. Incorporated in this work are sophisticated and powerful concepts from various MindBody curative techniques offered within the yogic arts and neuroscience.
Along with yoga, we're going to try adding some simple stitching into the mix. If you already know how to stitch with a needle and thread, you'll be good to go. If you don't have any experience or need a refresher, please show up 10 minutes early. Materials provided.
